  26. It is hard to quantify.  For instance the Y/C and component outputs of the PAR 
  27. offer a very clean signal, but the JPEG compression takes a toll on the actual 
  28. image.

  30. We too have seen the problem you mention with gradients.  However, we notice 
  31. that it seems more pronounced with blues and only seems an issue over large 
  32. areas of gradient.

  34. Neither device is a great device for final output, though each can be good to 
  35. adequate depending on the images used and the final medium they are output to.

  37. We love our PAR and wouldn't be without it.  However, it does have its 
  38. weaknesses.  It is a great device for animation developement IMHO.
